The only actress in the list who has won a national award. She is perhaps one of the few contemporary leading ladies who have been noticed more for her acting skills than for anything. She has had a low key 2006, but she has two movies awaiting release early in 2007. Parattai Enum Azhagusundaram, her first movie with Dhanush and Thirumagan opposite S.J.Surya are the films. A lot of rumors had been sparked off from the sets of Thirumagan regarding Meera’s relationship with S.J.Surya. This has led to the movie generating a lot of expectations. She charges around 30 lakhs per movie.
