She was noticed for her acting caliber in her maiden film Virumbugiren itself. She enjoys a good fan following in Telugu films too. Her link up with Nag Ravi had proved her dear with a loss of many films. She is very cautious while accepting roles and has no qualms about pairing with anybody.

Pudhupettai, her last release in Tamil had brought her accolades for her more than convincing portrayal of a vamp. Her last big hit was Sandakozhi with Vishal and directed by Lingusamy.

She has had a low key 2006, but she has two movies awaiting release early in 2007. Parattai Enum Azhagusundaram, her first movie with Dhanush and Thirumagan opposite S.J.Surya are the films. A lot of rumors had been sparked off from the sets of Thirumagan regarding Meera’s relationship with S.J.Surya. This has led to the movie generating a lot of expectations. She charges around 30 lakhs per movie.

She burst onto the Tamil screens with Minnale. She had a quite time after her first film. It was more than a year later that she landed her next hit with Dhool opposite Vikram. Then came Giri and a year later Thimiru followed making her a lucky heroine to work with.
